The Italian Historic Houses Association was born in Rome on 4 March 1977 following the example of similar associations already operating in other European countries. The A.D.S.I. Ente Morale Recognized by Presidential Decree 26/11/90, it is a non-profit organization and to this end:
Encourages counseling and legal, administrative, tax and technical assistance in favor of its members for the purposes of safeguarding, preserving, enhancing and managing historic homes;
It maintains relations with the competent public bodies;
He collaborates with similar national and international associations, in particular with European ones having similar purposes and is a member of HEH (European Historic Houses);
It promotes studies, research and initiatives aimed at achieving social goals;
It provides the means to achieve a more adequate European and national legislative system;

Villa Arconati-FAR has been a member of the ASDI since 2012.
